What’s a Germ Hotspot?They are high-traffic surfaces that are touched frequently by many different peoplewhere germs gather in concentrated amounts.

What types of surfaces are germs typically found on?The most common hotspots are door handles, counters, touchpads, and seats. Materials of these surfaces may vary, but common hotspot materials are metal, glass, plastic, wood or cardboard. Learn more by playing GSI: Germ Scene Investigation!

What should I do once I’ve identified the germ hotspots in my area?Now that you know where germs are most likely to gather, you can take necessary precautions to maintain a clean and safe space. Follow recommended sanitization protocol when cleaning surfaces, and remember to wash your hands with soap for 20 seconds after touching any germ hotspots.
